Betty Wilkens, of Sylvan Farms is located in Mercersburg in Franklin County, Pennsylvania.With daughter Judy Mellott and grandson Cameron doing the fieldwork, Betty markets produce from a family farm going back five generations.  Betty became involved in 1991 after her children started producing fruits, vegetables, and homemade jams for farmers markets.  While Betty stills sells some vegetables and fresh fruit, much of the fruit goes into jellies, jams and baked goods.  Betty drives a school bus, but says the mixer and ovens in her kitchen start at nine in the morning and go until nine at night producing a wide range of items for two farmers markets.
